On the right wooden track directly into “Woidhaisl”
Opened in 2021, the Euler Neuschönau chalets in the Bavarian Forest National Park embody the culture and history of the region, which has always been characterised by wood. No wonder that wood-burning stoves play a very special role here.
The new nature hotel with its six “Woidhaisl” chalets stands for zest for life and light-heartedness, naturalness and sustainability. This is also reflected in their architecture and the building materials used – and especially in the interior design. Stone, glass, spruce and fir wood come directly from the region and lend a rustic but modern character.
The LOOK wood-burning stove provides warmth and comfort in each of the “Woidhaisl”. The effect of primal fire on holistic well-being and the idea of sustainability were paramount to architect Albert Koeberl. The charming design and ease of use led to the decision in favour of the LOOK wood-burning stove. Manual, environmentally-friendly heating with wood, a regionally available renewable raw material, is part of the overall concept of a personal retreat all about relaxation, comfort and well-being.
Best view of romantic moments
“Our guests love to enjoy the flickering fire together on the cosy couch with a glass of wine,” says Daniela Mautner, who took over Landgasthof Euler from her uncle in 2019 and now runs it together with her husband Roland, including the Naturhotel and Woidhaisl. During the cold season, the wood-burning stove is used almost every day, she adds, pleased with the positive response. She personally sees the fact that the glass panel does not get sooty and that the wood-burning stove is very easy to clean as the LOOK advantages that really benefit her. The generous bottom plate, which harmonises particularly well with the steel feet on LOOK, and the custom-made, colour-coordinated chimney pipe complement each other perfectly and make the stove look all the more beautiful.
RIKA Premium Partner Siegfrid Freund is also proud of his contribution to this successful project. Together with his team, he planned and installed the fireplaces in the chalets.
"As a RIKA specialist in the Bavarian Forest, we were delighted to receive this order. A great deal of mutual appreciation and respect was shown when working together with the clients and architects and the result speaks for itself!" Siegfried Freund
