Interior design x RIKA stoves
Exclusive, extravagant and creative – such is how the style of interior designer Monique Walbeek can be described. Together with her partner Edwin van der Veen, she runs ANNO2015 BY ME DESIGN, a design studio with a living & lifestyle shop in Ledeacker in the Netherlands.
It's a place in which to find everything your interior design heart desires: from velvet cushions and retro lamps to leather sofas, rustic, modern, elegant or with an industrial look. And complete living landscapes can also be planned and realised on request.
Combining passion and expertise
Monique has been living out her passion for interior design since 2015. The trained interior design consultant and stylist has already transformed numerous interiors into unique, stylish feel-good spaces. Edwin is also responsible for many projects, such as the renovation of historic buildings in Amsterdam and the solar panel project in Almere. The couple share both their interior design business and a love for unique interiors.
They will soon be realising another shared dream by opening an experience centre. Customers will be able to find inspiration here, feel materials with all their senses, immerse themselves in a world full of design ideas and visualise their personal interior design wishes.
„I love working with beautiful things. And there's nothing better for me than a happy customer who feels completely at ease.“
Monique Walbeek, ANNO2015
The stove as a design object
Stoves are an important part of Monique's designs. Not only do they provide wonderful warmth, they also contribute to the atmosphere and appearance of a room. To bring this "experience" closer to her customers, she had two RIKA pellet stoves installed in her business premises by Wodd Kachels.
The decision in favour of pellet stoves was an obvious one: the pellets are clean and efficient, and the stoves' operation offers maximum convenience. Monique chose the RIKA brand because of its innovative technology, which is a step ahead of other manufacturers. She was also impressed by the classic design of the stoves.
For Wynand de Klein from Wodd Kachels, too, the advantages of this co-operation are obvious, as the stove retailer is expanding its showroom and possibilities in a very special way.
„Working with the home design studio opens up a new world of interior ideas for our customers, they can be inspired and broaden their perspective on the stove as a design object!“
Wynand de Klein, Woodd Kachels
CONNECT PELLET & SONO
The modular RIKA CONNECT series in particular is perfectly suited to Monique's desire to combine functionality and aesthetics in her interior designs. For example, the pellet stove can be integrated into a wall unit or as a room divider. She sees RIKA SONO, with its classically elegant design and compact construction, as an all-round talent – it fits in with almost any style of home and blends in extremely harmoniously.
